La Joya Del Cabo De Gata

The Hotel

There are landscapes friendly with solitude …. like books. There are landscapes which one rereads like the books that touch a fiber. The discovery of a landscape can change our destiny, like finding a good book. Charo Garcia was trapped by the hills on which ideas and feelings meander, villages of blinding white, ravines, fields of dunes, volcanic desert, a transparent atmosphere in which float the aromas of plants, a great shower of stars which often fall and drench us. Charo decided to create “La Joya de Cabo de Gata”, a miracle in the Alméria desert. One hectare in which to get lost, a place to find oneself. Charo offers room in her house or the choice between either of her two “cortijos” and the “haymah”. Welcoming as if you were in a good hotel with charm and warm as if it were a well looked after rural hotel. The garden extends over one hectare on a hill which is in the middle of the peace of the desert, splashed with olive and fruit trees, in perfect balance with the natural surroundings, an Andalusian landscape. A slow hotel in a timeless landscape.
