Iribarnia, means “town centre” and Lantz is an Icon of the Navarra carnival, Pyrenean, an ancestral rite, primitive, profoundly cultural, powerful, a source of recurring inspiration for our friend and distinguished photographer Cristina García-Rodero, brilliant soul captivator of popular cultures. The weight of history is present in the atmosphere of this small hotel in the mountains, and it is present in every corner of this pretty hotel, which has preserved the buildings original elements, as much as possible. The building contains family antiques; these decorate the rooms and allow us to delve further into the history, the habits and the ways of life of their ancestors. The XVIth century house has three granite ashlar columns, which the main beam and the cross beams of the frame work made of oak, rest on. It has thick stone walls, with masonry corners. In those times the ground floor was for the cattle, first floor for the family and the hay, the grain, the vegetables from the vegetable garden and the fruits from the woods, were kept under the roof. Nowadays a suite with a fire place, hydro massage bath tub and carefully decorated rooms. As the name of the hotel announces, you will find us in the center of the village, by the church, the school, the town hall and a short distance from the river. A favorite corner in the hotel is by the fire place next to the reception desk. Here a glass of wine, the warmth of the log fire, the soft music and a good book ally to induce us into an existential calm, a peace with ourselves and our surroundings.
