There is something of the Basque nobility in this building which combines the architectural elements of the country house with elements…from Indonesia. We must point out that the owners, in love with those islands, formalized this fondness for the overseas by sharing the atmospheres of their hotel in equal parts. It is their life project, dichotomy between Euskadi and the Isle of Java, a recent life project of the family’s, being achieved successfully, because they know how to be the perfect hosts. We can confirm this by the wise distribution of spaces for reading, for an evocative diner, for the pleasure of a gourmet drink or for relaxing in the waters. Nothing is casual, the wood used has been carefully chosen, an English bar has been recreated which is a collectors jewel for style, hand carved, noble wood and alcohol drinks from many countries around the world. The cellar, by the restaurant, too complete for a hotel with few rooms, is a sign of commitment with quality. The SPA is in a wooden building, with large windows, annex to the main entrance.
In the garden which has a view over the Gorbeia massif, a spectacular Yoglo, a privileged gazebo, also in wood, carver by Indonesian craftsmen, surrounded by meadows and woods. The impeccable rooms which all have hydro massage, in a classical style, and the four suites on the ground floor with terrace, exit on to the garden and a view over the Gorbeia natural park, have bathrooms with a Jacuzzi for two, well equipped, and the terraces are separated by Tiffany stained glass. It is altogether, a high quality hotel, with very personal atmosphere.
