On the way to Panticosa and Formigal, in the Pyrenees, one arrives to the Tena valley, a capricious landscape in which The Tena Priviledge shines with its own light, a witness of its´ times. The time in which it was an Abbey, during the XV th century, the times when it was a stately home built on the walls of the first building-XVII to XX-, when it turned into Hotel. And of the present time, which pays honor to its history in the surroundings- stone, wood and slate – and modern times in the form of a Spa with a view, gorgeous rooms and technology, it is easy to agree that in the Tena Priviledge is what the French call a “fleuron”, a reference, a favourite idea, a hotel to return to.
In this temple of good living there is a lot of family management. We feel the quality atmosphere in which we move from the moment we arrive in The Priviledge. Anabel and Juan Ignacio are not omnipresent, that is the way it is mastered. The impression is discreet and we know that our stay in this house of Tramacastilla de Tena will be to remember. And to return.
The hotel has two suites with adapted bathrooms and the common spaces are also accessible to wheel chairs. Signaling in Brail and relief on room doors and communal bathrooms, such as other elements (signs of Let me rest or please do up the room, to hang on the door) SPA CIRCUIT: Jet pools, sauna, turquish baths, cold water thin shower, double thermal showers, rolling stones, toning pool and relax area with thermal deck chairs.
Tramacastilla de Tena is neighbouring the Formigal and Panticosa ski resourts. A winter sport haven. An enclave in the Pyrenees, where we can find wonderful places to practice cross country skiing. One can rent ski motor bikes, go for outings on dog sleighs, excursions with ski racquets. Mountaineering trekking, wild mushroom picking, bird watching, riding, mountain bike, canoeing.
La Cuniacha animal Park, Odesa and Monte Perdido national parks, San Juan de la Peña and Jaca ( the Santiago Peregrins walk). The viloages of the Tena Valley are worthy to be visited: Sallent de Gállego, Sandinies, Panticosa, Tramacastilla itself or Piedrafita. Mirador de Hoz de Jaca.
