The Hotel

El Añadío is a fighting bulls temple for life in liberty. Fitur Active Tourism 2017 prize in Culture category. Knowing the cows’ life is the clue to the bravura of the males- and of the bulls. The fighting bulls breeding culture in this virginal natural landscape is a challenge for those who would like to find out about this King of the Iberian meadow as form birth.
The farmhouse has a main building where the rooms the main dinning room and the drawing room are, as corresponds to an Andalusian manor house. The favourite spot is a big traditional fireplace flanked by two large windows with wrought iron. It is through those windows that one sees the bulls when they come to feed in the trough. 400 kg bulls within our reach, while we have a drink or a cup of coffee by the fireplace.


Accessibility

A large room with a bathroom adapted to wheelchairs. The whole surface of the hotel is level although it has gravel except for the Stone path leading to the room from the entrance of the farmhouse towards the dinning room, the drawing room and the “tienta” bullring. Braille and relief signage kit for blind and people with impaired vision.


What to do?

 Activities
The favourite activity for children and grown ups in El Añadío is the tour of the estate in 4x4. During the visit we are told about the life of the fighting bulls and the cows selected in the “tientas”, bullfighting sessions which determine a bulls bravura and character. The estate has a large bullring where depending on the time of the year we will be able to attend this ritual during which some bullfighting students come to perfect their technique.

One must visit the jewels of Andalusian Baroque, Úbeda and Baeza.


Gastronomy

 Cuisine
Andalusian and Spanish cuisine in a dining room with stone walls. Daily menu and “a la carte” dishes and snacks. Barbecue if you for at least 6 people. Pic-nic to take on field trips. Breakfasts are typically Andalusian so as to confront a day in the countryside, these include country bread toasts, Iberian ham pizquitos, local pastries, our own farm eggs prepared however you like them best…….

Virgin olive oil, pottery and other crafts.

By car, on the A4 from Seville to Cordoba towards Madrid, as well as from Madrid exits 266 and 268 in La Carolina towards Vilches on the A301. At Km 11,9 of this road (La Carolina to Úbeda) a track leads to the estate. By train, the Linares-Baeza station is 15 minutes away from the Hotel. Coordinates.
